On the lanes… I was ready to see if the new Up-Rising was going to be just as good as its predecessor and right away I was not disappointed. The new Up-Rising has the same great look on the lanes as the original Rising, with a stronger motion in the back end. This is partly due to the cover stock being polished versus the original at 4000 out of the box finish. Also this is a newer version of the original Rising's cover stock. Both factors definitely made the difference on the lanes for me. The Up-Rising was very clean through the front part of the lane and made a very distinct move out of the oil. Can we say power? I tested this ball on a 47 foot - light volume oil pattern. Typically for me, my equipment hits weak when I have to play the lanes deep. Not the Up-Rising. I was very impressed with the power it had. It was actually the only ball in my bag at the time, that conquered this pattern and carried. The pin action was like a vacuum. Ten in the pit.
