Raw Hammer Psycho by Hammer

On the lanes… I was very excited to try the new Raw Hammer Psycho. I have to say, I was very pleased when I saw the ball reaction on the lane. The Psycho has a very strong motion on the lanes while being smooth and continuous. I was prepared for "psychotic" backend reaction out of this bowling ball, which I normally do not like out of new equipment but I liked what I saw. The new assault core tames that crazy sideways backend motion. It was forgiving, yet controlled. I was very impressed with the power this ball had when it hit the pocket. The pins seem to just explode back to the pit.

In conclusion… The new Raw Hammer Psycho will be a very eye catching ball on your shelf and with its name it is sure to have people asking about it. I can see the new Psycho as a very good seller. The ball reaction is terrific: strong, controlled and predictable. I do feel that this ball will be a good fit for the higher rev players on the heavier oil patterns, but not enough for the strokers or tweeners on the long patterns. Tweeners and strokers will have a good fit with this ball on medium volumes and lighter longer volume oil patterns. This is a great "house shot" bowling ball. I feel it will match up well with most of your average league bowlers.
