In keeping with the rich colors of the previous two Cells, this purple-royal color combination is another great looking ball a little flare but nothing too flashy. I think the color combo compliments the others in the Crown Line from Roto-Grip.

On the lanes… I was eager to test the Rogue Cell since its predecessors were awesome! I tested this ball on Anvilane surface, after one shift of league bowling so I encountered light volume in the fronts with moderate carry down. Trying to swing the Rogue Cell on this pattern was not an option. The Rogue is so strong in the mid lane that it wouldn’t recover with the carry down. So my next move was to square up. Once I did this, I saw what all the hype was about! I noticed strong predictable move on the lane with the Rogue which is what I like to see: Predictable ball reaction out of the oil line! Carry from this angle was unbelievable. The new Rogue Cell echoes the sound of cracking pins as it crushes the pocket. It just doesn’t get any better than that!

In conclusion… The new Rogue Cell is a great fit with the other two Cells. You have a stronger mid lane Cell with predictable ball motion and unbelievable carry. Hands down this is a great addition to the bowling ball market. You should see a lot of these on the racks at the USBC Nationals. If you don’t, then they don’t have the right ball in their hands. I believe the average bowler’s will like this ball on the fresh and the power players may have to tweak the cover to match up to their rev rate. I strongly feel that this ball will be a great ball for anyone. This ball is too strong for lighter volumes, but medium to heavy patterns are no match for the Rogue Cell.
