SIEGE by Brunswick

Brunswick is keeping this ball “retro” with a black/silver color pallet. The traditional color is something I think some bowlers might be looking for. I believe Brunswick was looking for a simple color scheme in today’s market of wild & crazy bowling ball colors. They are letting the performance of the ball speak for itself.

On the lanes…

This is the first Brunswick ball that I have had the honor to test for the new upcoming season and I was very pleased with what I saw. In the past I have felt that Brunswick bowling balls have “started up” in the front part of the lane too soon and never really had strong defined movement down the lane. The new Siege is nothing like this! I tested the ball on an anvil lane surface on your typical house shot. During my testing I compared this ball next to the MaXXX Zone to see what the differences were in ball reaction. The new Siege was surprisingly strong down the lane. My MaXXX Zone was not coming back to the pocket completely and caused me to miss the head pin a lot; the Siege made up for it. This bowling ball lives up to the descriptions without a doubt. I was able to cover more boards with recovery down the lane than with any other Brunswick ball I’ve thrown. It was a good ten or more boards stronger down lane then the MaXXX Zone while still maintaining tremendous power.

In conclusion…

The new Siege is one powerful bowling ball! Pin carry was amazing. The amount of down lane recovery was very impressive. Brunswick has found a real hero with this piece. Crankers may have to tweak the cover to generate the length but the out of the box finish will work for the majority of bowlers today. In my opinion, if you haven’t bought anything by Brunswick in the last year or so, you will want to give that a second thought with this ball!!!
