Lessons

I will start this story with the simple fact that I have not picked up a bowling ball in 20 years.  I have been working with GLC for about 5 years now.  I help TJ with marketing and with this site.  One of the things you should know is that everyone involved with GLC is a bowling fanatic.  It is not just a job for them it’s a lifestyle.  To be around these guys for 5 years and not bowl was a pretty tough accomplishment.  That was until Bowling IQ opened.  Now all of the sudden it has become impossible.  I no longer had an excuse.  Now there is a place that I can go and just throw (bowl) the ball, a place where I can get equipment and try it out.  A place I can get lessons.

I decided that I am going to take lessons.  I told TJ that my goal is to get to the point of just above average.  In other words I want to get to the point where it is obvious that I have had some lessons and they actually took.  Not like the snow bunny you see doing the snow plow down the hill.  I just want to play better than the people that haven’t ever taken a lesson.  I tried golf lessons and I think it hurt my game more than it helped my game.  I’m pretty sure that won’t happen with bowling but, only time will tell.

TJ drilled me up a new cherry red Vibe.  I picked out a new pair of shoes and a two ball roller bag.  Now all I have to do is make that call to schedule my lesson time.  I will let you know how it goes.
